Delivery Information

Your order will set out whether a good or service is delivered by a Supplier based in the UK or a Supplier based in the Channel Islands.

We only sell items that are in stock. Should there be any error in this process and therefore a delay in dispatching your order to you within the usual dispatch window we will contact you. You will then have the option to cancel your order should you wish to do so, or else to wait to receive your order when stock becomes available again.

We are able to deliver items for sale on this website to UK and Northern Ireland addresses as long as you have a UK Royal Mail standard postcode (e.g., AB1 1YZ).  We are currently not able to deliver to the Channel Islands. We are sorry if this causes any inconvenience.

Suppliers based in the UK:

We aim to deliver orders within 7 working days. Depending on the size and value of your order it may be sent by Royal Mail or by courier, however this will not affect the postage and packing charge you pay except in a very few cases. Please note that the delivery time for bulbs and plants is 28 days or as stated on the website product page or in your order acknowledgement as our suppliers grow the plants to order specifically for Mailshop customers and then deliver at the appropriate time for planting. There are no P&P on orders of books.

As we dispatch from more than one supplier, orders of multiple items may arrive in separate deliveries, but the single delivery charge you have paid remains unaffected.

You will own the goods once they have been paid for and sent to you, and you will therefore be responsible for all risks of whatever nature that arise once the goods have been dispatched in good order to you. You are advised to take out adequate insurance cover for such eventualities.

Suppliers based in the Channel Islands:

To supply your future orders Mailshop will introduce you to A&N Media Channel Islands Distribution whose registered office is Northcliffe House, 2 Derry Street, London W8 5TT ("Distribution Company”).  Unless you advise otherwise you are requesting us to appoint Distribution Company to act as your or the addressee’s direct representative in respect of transporting and importing your order.  A contract will be made between you and Distribution Company at the moment the goods are dispatched.  For the Carrier’s standard terms and conditions of delivery click here.  If you wish to appoint an alternative representative to act on your behalf please advise us immediately by contacting us at mailshopenquiries@diss.net.  In appointing Distribution Company you consent to the commencement of services before your usual right to cancel expires.   This relates only to the services being provided by Distribution Company and does not affect your statutory rights.

You/the addressee are responsible for complying with all applicable EU and Customs trade regulations.  Mailshop has no responsibility to pay any additional charges that may be incurred as a result of customs clearance.  An element of your postage and handling charge includes the charge by distribution for its transport and import services.

Mailshop will be responsible for the supply of goods to you until they are loaded onto transportation (i.e. onto an aeroplane or a boat) at the port of shipment in the Channel Islands. The passing of risk from Mailshop to you occurs when the goods pass “over the ship's rail” at the port of shipment i.e. when they have been put onto the aeroplane or onto the boat at which point you will be responsible for all risks of whatever nature that arise relating to the supply of the goods. You are advised to take out adequate insurance cover for such eventualities.
